From 2020 to 2030, companies in the green energy sector have a unique opportunity to receive subsidies for new production facilities through the EU Clean-tech Manufacturing program from the Innovation Fund, in conjunction with national funding. In the EU, it is possible to secure subsidies covering up to 75% of the costs for new production facilities. The total grant can exceed €100 million.
Global House has recently assisted a client in the green hydrogen sector by submitting two proposals to subsidize a new production facility. Up to 60% of the investment can be funded through the Innovation Fund EU Clean-tech Manufacturing program, with an additional 15% of the CAPEX eligible for support from EIFO (Export & Investment Fund of Denmark under the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs).
The next submission deadlines for EIFO are anticipated in February 2025, and for the Innovation Fund EU Clean-tech Manufacturing in April 2025. To ensure the submission of high-quality proposals, it is essential to begin the fundraising process by November 2024 at the latest.
